Technical Center Visit Days

Sophomores and juniors are invited to: "Check out Tech!" All students
interested in attending Burlington Technical Center or Center for
Technology Essex must first visit the program. On February 7th
students will have an opportunity to see the classes in action at
Burlington Technical Center. Center for Technology Essex will hold a
visit day on February 8th. If your daughter/son is interested, please
have the student stop by the Direction Center to sign up and get a
permission slip.This is a great opportunity to prepare for life after
high school. Some of the programs are: Aviation Technology, Culinary,
Cosmetology, Human Services, Medical Sports Sciences, Computer
Animation and web Design. There are more! Check the website or call us
for more details.

Parents can visit too! Open House at CTE is on Saturday Feb. 11 from
10- 2PM. Burlington's Medical and Sports Science Open House is Feb.
14th. Once students visit, they can fill out the application which is
due by March 9th.

Pretech is a program open to next year's sophomores. This full day
program also awards credit in English, math, science, fine arts,
practical arts and physical education. Sound interesting? We'll have a
visit day there In April. Please call Jane Krasnow at 482-7137 for
more information.

Summer Academy 2012 Course Application

Registration is now open for 2012 Summer Academy.

Cost for each class is $300. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due at the time of registration to reserve your spot in the class. Remaining balance due the first day of class or student registration will be canceled. The registration deadline is Friday, April 6. Checks should be made payable to CVU and turned in with this form to the Direction Center. Contact the Direction Center for further information or for scholarship requests at 482-7137.

Welcome to CVU's web site new front page!

We hope you will find it more aesthetically pleasing than the old page and it provides us with more functionality than before. Everything that was on the "old" page is also on the new page, but it might be in a different location. All the drop down screens and information on the drop down screens are the same, they have NOT changed.

The roll out will take place this weekend. It could take 12-24 hours for the various links to become active on the new site. SO...if you attempt to access our web site this weekend (Jan 27-29) you may encounter delays, or possibly be directed to our Moodle page instead of the public CVU web page. Everything should be working normally by Monday, Jan 30.

China Trip for CVU Students!

Twelve to sixteen openings are available for any 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student interested in having an unforgettable travel opportunity involving a rich exploration of Chinese culture and history in
Beijing, Sichuan and Yunnan province.

Winter Wildlife Tracking: Saturday, January 21, 10 AM to Noon at the LaPlatte Headwaters Town Forest with UVM Professor David Hirth and Lenore Budd. Wear snowshoes, waterproof insulated boots, and warm layers. Meet at the Gilman Rd. parking area. Snow dependent.
