This is to inform everyone of an important change relating to the use of the on-line payment system www.mylunchmoney.com
For the past 5 years all charges incurred by the use of this payment system for deposits into accounts at CVU have been paid by the CVU Cafe. During this same time, the Cafe has not raised meal prices even though there was an economic crisis, and the costs associated with offering fresh, healthy and organic products continue to rise.
Starting in August, the transaction charge of $1.95 that mylunchmoney charges will be passed to the consumer. This charge is similar to an ATM charge, and it makes more sense to fund your student's account with as few transactions as possible to avoid multiple charges. A breakfast meal at CVU is $1.25 and a lunch meal is $2.25 and there are approx. 180 school days in the calendar year.
Ala Carte items not included in Meals are extra and run from .50 to $2.95 Funding more than one student at the same school in the same transaction will incur only one charge of $1.95
Registering with this system to view purchase history and a student balance will still be a free benefit to a family and the charge is only incurred when a payment/deposit is made to an account.
Of course payments/deposits can still be made as usual by check or cash, but must be handed in by the student prior to 10:30 am to be credited that same day.
